Dermcam 2.x is compatible with OSCAR v15.
Dermcam 1.x is not fully compatible with OSCAR v15. The app can be used to add new images to OSCAR v15, and those images are viewable from OSCAR v15; however, the image metadata (“tags”, e.g. left/right, body part) cannot be edited once committed to OSCAR v15 in the same way as the v12 integration. Additionally when viewing new images added to v15, the window that appears will display the patient’s name, but may not display all of the patient’s other details at the top of the image’s window, (in the v12 integration patient gender and MRN are displayed at the top of the image’s window).
If you were previously using Dermcam with OSCAR v12, in order to view your previously stored images in OSCAR v15, please ensure you are using OSCAR v15 build 685 or higher. In addition, the first time you click to open one of these image documents, Firefox will ask which application you would like to use to open the file. Please select to open the file in Firefox, and check the box to remember this choice.
If you are already using OSCAR v15 build 685 or higher and you still cannot view the image documents, please download and run this script on your OSCAR v15 server, (or ask your OSP to run the script).
The script will update the v15 database entries related to all images uploaded via this app, such that OSCAR v15 can open the images for viewing. The script will only change database entries, it will not alter any OSCAR software.
Technical details: The content type of these image documents will be changed from text/html to html/photoDocument, which will work around a document viewing issue with v15. The first time you click to open one of these image documents, Firefox will ask which application you would like to use to open the file. Please select to open the file in Firefox, and check the box to remember this choice. The above database script can be run more than once if necessary.

This complete compatibility message also applies to the “Say EMR” app.
